Bank of Shorewood is committed to providing superior customer service. We believe one aspect of building and maintaining long term banking relationships is by keeping customer information secure and private. We want you, our customers, to be aware of our commitment, and want you to be familiar with the professional and regulatory standards by which we will protect your personal and financial information.

We recognize and respect the privacy expectations of our customers. We will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, financial and other related information that is provided to us.

We will maintain policies and procedures to ensure all customer financial information is accurate, current and complete in accordance with reasonable commercial standards. The bank will respond promptly and affirmatively to correct inaccurate information in a timely manner.

Employee Access to Customer Information:

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees with a business reason for knowing and using such information to provide services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information. We continually educate our employees on the confidential nature of this information and your needs for privacy.

Restrictions on Disclosure of Account Information:

We will not (except in cases permitted by law), disclose specific information about your accounts or personally identifiable data to any nonaffiliated third parties.

Consumer Privacy in Business Relationships with third Parties:

If we are requested to provide personally identifiable information to a third party, from which you (our customer) are not permitted by law to “opt out”, we will require these third parties to adhere to similar privacy principles and to continue to maintain the confidentiality of this information. See exceptions below.

Exceptions to “Opt Out” Requirements:

The third party will be required to maintain the same confidentiality of this information to at least the same degree as stated in our privacy policy or as otherwise permitted by law.
