The Bank of Shorewood was chartered in 1978 by local business people and investors in Illinois as a state chartered bank. The bank was originally operated under the name of Heritage Bank of Shorewood, then changed its name to Bank of Shorewood in 1988. Since we opened, Bank ownership has remained local and stable, with the bank's organizers still serving on our Board of Directors.

Since its inception, the bank’s focus has been to provide quality community banking services to the people of Shorewood and the surrounding area. The Bank remains one of the few locally owned and operated financial institutions in the Will County area, meaning quicker, friendlier and more personal service to you.
